To The Southern People:
I am tired,
I am tired of politicians treating southern people like we do not exist. We preach to every creed and color of people to be proud of who they are and where they come from.....unless you are a southerner! Then you are considered the lowest form of life....as low as Nazis according to one Democratic candidate. This candidate falsely accused a group of white men of rape against a black girl! Talk about a bigot, if that is not a bigot I do not know what is! If a white man had done that to a group of black men he would have been put in jail for civil rights violations. My family did not believe in slavery during the war, but we fought for the Confederacy,...it was our home!!!!! It was our state!!!! And we fought because we believed in defending our homes and our families. I take pride in the battle flag, it does not stand for slavery to me,...it stands for a bunch of brave men of all colors who fought against armies coming into their homeland. Around 88% of southern whites did not own slaves at the outbreak of that horrible war that cost so many their lives. You never see those facts in history books that our teachers teach our children from! History, as they say, is written by the victors!
We should not be ashamed of who we are, nor for standing up for ourselves against all odds! The southern soldier fought with hardly any food or shoes on his feet, and kept the Union Armies in turmoil from 1861-1865. To tell southern people to be ashamed of this would be like telling the Marines to be ashamed of their island hopping campaign in the Pacific to defeat the Japanese Army. Those Marines fought hard and should always be proud! And those Confederate soldiers also fought hard and their decendants should always be proud!
It seems the Democratic party considers anyone with a Battle Flag on a vehicle as some sort of sub-human! I have news for them, not all people with a battle flag are bigots of the KKK or other ill-informed groups,...but we are very proud of our southern heritage,and of our soldiers that marched across the field of battle against a larger, and better equipped Union Army. It truly is up to southern people to teach their children the truth, because they will not get it from schools,...and from the way it appears, southern people are considered inferior to all others to the Democratic party. So teach your children to be proud of who they are and where they come from, no matter their color, creed or religion. Everyone should be proud of who they are! And most important, teach them to never vote for a Democrat again, because evidently they only think certain people are worthy of their history and heritage. It seems the democrats have become fixed on taking away everyones right to own a gun, and everyones right to be proud of who they are and where they come from. And it surely seems they like to take my tax money and give it to other people who do not like me or believe that I should have the same rights as they. So as far as I am concerned the Democratic party is DEAD!
I have always been an Independant, voting for who I believed would and could do the best job, but it is apparant to me that the democratic party does not care about people in the south,..they just want to take our southern tax dollars! I say NOT ANYMORE!!!! And if those Democratic candidates hate us true southerners so bad,.....do not come down here begging for our votes,... Seems to me you are all carpet baggers of the modern kind! This southerner will not forget your harsh words for southerners. They all think we are stupid here in the south,...lets show them that they are the stupid ones, because they cut their political throats. Lets send 'em back to their home states, because they surely will not represent us. How could they, when they are in fact bigoted against us?
If this is all about slavery from days gone past, then the flag that flies on the Capital Building in Washington DC is just as guilty, becuse it flew over slavery as well,..it just had fewer stars back then. The British "Union Jack" should also be considered as a slap in the face as well, because the British enslaved blacks as well as the Scots and the Irish! I am sure we could go on and on about flags that flew over nations that at one time backed and traded in slavery. It is an institution that all nations should be ashamed of, but the flags were not to blame! Civilization has realized that terrible mistake and has moved on from it, but we cannot try to forget our histories as a people, lest we make those mistakes again! But never tell me to not be proud of a Confederate Army fighting for their homeland! The Democrats have made their last and most fatal mistake,...they have shown they are the party of the people, just not southern people. And from what Sen. Kerry and Al Sharpton have said, just black people in the NAACP! Does anyone with any common sense believe that these two idiots are presidential material? You cannot be President with the interest of one group being all that matters,...no matter what the group is!
It is time for people to stand up for who they are and what they believe, no matter who you are!!!!! If the Democratic party does not want southern peoples vote, then DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM! Vote for anyone other than a Democrat! Show them that southerners do have power and we do not forget insults to ourselves or our families! Even if you don't like a battle flag, do you not believe you have the right to your heritage? Will you stand up for everyones right to heritage or just when yours is attacked? We should all be proud, and if the Democrats do not believe that, then they are the true bigots! It is they who are hating what they do not know anything about. They have shown that with a Democrat in power the southern people are considered nothing! Let's show the Democrats that they are not even considered!!!!!!!!!!!
